Reflection: In worship last Sunday at Southside Presbyterian Church, the children’s time was dedicated to thanking the Sunday School teachers. The young people had decided that their Sunday School teachers deserved a vacation to the beach so as a thank you gift they gave each one a bit of sand, a sea shell and a beach-themed picture frame into which they could place their own photos. And then the 15-20 children were asked what they valued about their teachers. Their answers were simple and profound and if all of us could be that to all the people to whom God sends us, well, we’d be that much closer to the Kingdom of Heaven. What do you appreciate about your teachers?
